Reference Guide Mockup

FEiA Release New Reference Guide for Field Epidemiologists

FEiA is pleased to release its Field Epidemiology Concepts: A reference guide for field epidemiologists. The reference guide has been developed specifically for the fellows, faculty and alumni of the field epidemiology training programs in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, but is general enough for any intermediate level program. It contains definitions and worked examples of key field epidemiology concepts such as surveillance, outbreak investigation and communicable disease control. The reference guide is available for download.

This booklet was produced by Field Epidemiology in Action for use by field epidemiology training program (FETP) fellows in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. We also gladly share this with the broader field epidemiology community, and welcome people sharing this resource with their colleagues. Having shared language and understanding are important components in working effectively as a team; we hope that this booklet can be a useful tool to aid effective team communication.
